Headdresses for Flora Day

Flora Day headdresses for the school girls dancing on Flora Day in the children's dance.

It is customary for girls to adorn their hair with summer flowers, with each school displaying its own distinct bloom. This tradition not only differentiates the schools but also creates a splendid display of colours, especially striking against the children’s white clothing.

Helston Community College wear forget-me-nots, Parc Eglos – poppies and buttercups, Nansloe – daisies and St Michaels – blue cornflowers.

Our headdresses are made using artificial flowers and garlands.
